this. get rid of fed and state tax. make a flat sales tax. Everyone buys shit, people that buy more shit wil pay more taxes. Its very simple.

But people that dont make an income, claim 3 kids, and get $7,000 back in a tax return is unacceptable.

 

You lumped millionaires into this broad brushed rant. You also mention their lifestyles in a general broad brushed statement, as if it has anything to do with the fairness of our tax code. These are statements taken right out of the OCCUPY WALL STREET text book and you know it - as such they are disrespectful to hard working small business owners who happen to fall into the millionaire category but are no means owning yachts and jets. As a matter of fact most of us good business minds reinvest back into our companies - Get yourself a better business education and you will begin to see how flawed your statement is.

Actually, both are fairly easy to do, without all that much cost. With the first, tax the heck out of corporations not substantially based in the United States (this does not apply to ligitimate foreign companies, only American companies with operations overseas - foreign companies require another, more balanced, solution). Substantually raising import duties on the products of those American corporations would have an impact as well. With the second, fine the heck out of employers who hire illegal immigrants. Both solutions hit the them in the pocketbook - the only thing they seem to truly care about.

 

How would raising taxes help anything when no one is talking about cutting spending?

I'm OK with my taxation level when compared the sustainability of our national debt and programs , not sure how that is " less " than what you guys have though
