So i split up with my gf of 4 months last night. Basically cuz she was really overbearing and needy and had a lot of abandonment issues that were only getting worse recently (so yeah i proved her right).

But anyway, we're gonna try to be friends. So my question for you guys is: She ordered my bday present for me the other day. and still wants to give it to me anyway and wont let me pay her for it. She got me the same Aries bull bar for my truck that i used to have till i got in an accident. So should i even accept it from her? have her send it back? sell it for her?

take it, and say thanks... wipe your hands clean, and go on your way... If you want the friend thing to work, you need to just move forward... If you really feel that guilty, give her some $$$ for it...

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Dude, if she has abandonment issues, the last thing you want to do is sell it or tell her no. Keep it and thank her for it. Just tell her you really appreciate it.

+1 on everything stated here. Be gracious and accept (people have a lot of issues when you try and NOT accept presents.. its like not accepting THEM), be friendly and try and be friends.. and if she fucks it up - take off.

I disagree. If she has abandonment issues and you let her give you a gift, she is going to hold it over her head that you owe her.

Actually I changed my mind, take it and run and if she does what I said, tell her some time apart would be healthier for both :)
