Stock Stereo w/modded leds!!

I got an 07 stock stereo w black faceplate. It also has modded led lights. The knobs r white leds n the rest all blue. Asking 80/shipped, obo. Perfect condition everything works fine!

I've been looking for a black head unit. Is there any difference w/ this and the jbl version? Meaning...if I have the jbl equipped stereo, will this plug and play the same?

 

How did you change the LED lights? Is it possible to change the display color as well?

You have to solder new leds in place of the old ones. They r really small and would suggest to have someone who has soldered before help u or do it for u. Yes u can also change the display screen to different colors as well. I didn't attempt it with this stereo but did do it for my buddy.

 

Ive been looking for a black unit for a while! too bad i dont have the money =(

As for the LEDs, yes they are small, and can be a pain. But if you take your time, its quite easy. I did my gauges and steering controls already. Felt good so i did my motorcycle tach too, you want a shitty job. try that =P

 

Bump for rarity, black face stereos are few and far between & black hazard/clock even rarer. Scored recently after looking for awhile. Did the daytime mod on mine....silver buttons on the black face one - black buttons on the silver face one...........

I'm curious too if this will plug and play with the 2010 JBL

 

This is a base model single CD non-JBL for 05-08. IIRC, the plugs are different for 09-11s and different for all JBLs but I will let OP clarify as this is not my thread. I just scored a black one recently or this would have been sold already. Somebody buy it or I just might for more spares. Been toying with lighting change idea soooooooooo, clock is ticking.

Also its stereo, single disc, black faceplate and does not include clock hazard part.

 

It wasn't too bad of a job but the leds in the stereo r bout as big as this . but wasn't bad I'm sure the motorcycle ones r even harder.

 

It might plug n play with ur truck considering its an 08. Idk I ain't sure u could always try it if u want n if it don't work try selling it again. But that's all ur choice lol its ur money.

 

Would you be willing to go 40 for just the black face and I will send you a silver face in exchange so you can then still sell the unit as a whole thing? I may have an extra silver clock/hazard to include with that........

 

Id like to sell it as a whole really, if ur into modding em all u gotta do is change the display leds to white or a differ color n prbly turn around n make a good profit off of it

 

Bump come on there is a guy on here selling a regular stock grey stereo w no modded led lights for $100. I think its a steal for the added leds
