I take this as a metaphor.

If everything crashed none of the lazy and sick would survive, oh darn.

Also cut the President's pay as well, also no payed vacations for all politicians. They are elected to represent the people, so they need to do their job. Alsp put in term limits and remove all lobbyists

We need another president like Harry S Truman

Well people do have the ability to care for themselves actuually. However, my suggestion here would be to cut them over a period of time, never elliminate - just revamp - overhaul the system. I like a plan that all on wellfare should be required to train for employment, as opposed to doing nothing to improve their situation. Well-fare should be an 18 month program not a lifelong handout as it currently is. Furthermore, it is ludricrous that unemployment benefits last 2 years and arre constantly being extended. That system is completely dysfunctional as well. I can just imagine the tax dollars saved by reorganizing these programs. I'd like to see an incentive for those who pay into unemployment yet never use the benefit. Bottomline, the citizens should be entitled to opportunity, not entilted to handouts - Strict limits must be impossed on wellfare and unemployment

I agree with you, our entitlement programs need a major overhaul as the amount of people who are abusing the system is drastically increasing

Has anyone here ever seen Idiocracy, ( I think thats the name )

It's a movie where the dumb and worthless keep breeding 90 kids and responsible people have one or two and the tards breed out the intelligent. It was suppose to be a comedy, I call it a horror because it's happened/happening.

You can change all the taxes, programs, and laws you want, but until you change the people, forget it. Lazy breeding lazier, 'Merica

Also the number of gov employees needs cut too. Just think if we wend to a flat tax system with no deductions. There would be no IRS, or it would be 1/100 of the size it is now.

Hmmmm, 40% bring home.......sounds very familiar for years. They are angling for 75% for them and 25% for me doing the work. Bullshit. The handouts are what is turning people into welfare addicts when they can have just as much and more by doing nothing. Nothing motivates people to excel when they have to give it all away to those who do nothing. When there is no way to win, people will stop playing and just hop on the gravy train soon to be gravyless at this rate.

When I got out of the military I was working overtime (45-55hrs a week) at a factory in my hometown before I started school. A guy I know who got out a year before me was making 400 more dollars a month than me off of unemployment and whatever other assisted income junk and not working one minute of the day. 'Merica

I am a person of disabilities, I would hack it best I could, and you know what, if I went down with the masses, so be it, but I doubt I'd have a harder time than most

Me too, go figure. I am paralyzed, and don't want to leave my kids without a Dad by "going down with the masses". I am not nor have I ever collected aid from the government in any way. I still work as much as I can. Good luck with your struggles, I hope things improve.:)
