Everything cost a lot. Just get what u like best. Will all be within 100 or $200 of each other, if even that much gap between prices. Cut frame or no cut frame?

So thermostat failed in my sentra at 189778 miles. Not a bad life span. Took out thermostat all works fine. I was to,d that this ok to do in summer. Is this correct. I will be putting in the $13.56 thermostat in when I get the part on Saturday. Can anyone confirm it is ok to drive w/o thermostat? I was told it was ok by mechanic friend, just looking for affirmation

Thanks. Actually that's within a mile of my parents house. Normally they watch her but my dad just had rotator cuff surgery so he's unable to walk her.

Well ant, thermostat is in a housing. With it in, it keeps fluid in engine longer to get to operating temp longer. Without it, it allows fluid to cycle back to radiator instantly, taking longer to warm up, is ok in summer, not in winter. So I found out

Maybe I'm crazy, but why would you drive it when you have 3 vehicles for yourself (a truck and a bike and a broke down car)?

I wouldn't drive it if I had 2 other forms of transport.

Much cheaper for work. 35 mpg saves me lots of money, I fill it up formless than $40 and get over 400 miles to a tank.

Who cares about how many miles you get on a tank? That car still sucks... Drive the truck :D

Remember this is Eddie we're talking about... :p

You can't forget to top off the headlight fluid and replace the winter air with summer air in tires because that will affect the fuel mileage and the performance.:D

Good call! I completely forgot about winter air/summer air. I still have the heavy winter air in them. Lighter summer air will make a huge mpg increase!

Thermostat is already out, but ant, there is a separate gasket to seal it on this car. It is easy on this to replace, there is soooooo much room under there.
