I found a Ruger SR1911 for a good price and am considering buying it. I've read a lot of good things about them but have only talked to one person who owns one. Does any one own one? If so what's your opinion about it?

Does anyone on here carry a "pocket" sized 9mm? Like the Ruger Lc9 or one of the smaller Kahr 9mm?

I have been looking into some of these and wanted to get some more opinions and reviews...

Is it worth getting one for pocket carry? or are they realistically too big?

Should I just stick with the IWB G27?

I think so, I'm debating if I like the flat top receiver or standard.

From what I can tell they are on back order so I may get an order in now just so I have it when my transfer is approved.

I also really like the .22 conversion with the 40rd mags they look like a ton of fun :)

I say go for it, it's not like most toys that are only going to depreciate and they are not getting any cheaper. I'm crossing own SMG off my bucket list.

I also looked at the Sig P290. I have a P229 and absolutely love it.

I will look into the other two...

I often carry my keltec pf9...I prefer it over my baby glock due to it being reliable and much easier to carry...I don't pocket carry it but I'd imagine it fits into them fairly easily

next new one will be another Ruger Mini14, but the next gun i will get is the next deal I can find in a pawn shop on an old 22 rifle or pistol (I collect old 22's). I am also looking for two 1980's or earlier Ruger 10/22's to build up for son and son-in-law for Christmas.

Got my Shield. Great little gun. Shoots like a full size and less than 1" thick. Smith and Wesson outdid themselves. Only one bad thing about them....Its almost impossible to fnd one in 9mm. They are always sold out. I had to overpay and have one shipped from Ohio down to SC after looking for about 2 months.

Just a random question... Can you fit this in your pocket comfortably?

I am looking for a new "fun sized" pistol and heard someone talking about these...

It will fit but I wouldnt call it a "pocket gun". Some might but Im spoiled by my wifes LCP and think that is a real "pocket gun". I have a IWB holster and you I feel its best for that at under 1" thick.

I have the sig p238 and it is an amazing gun. Have you checked into those? I also have the shield but in .40 cal it is a nice size but not a pocket gun IMO.

This is what keeps me from looking for something smaller than a G19. If I'm carrying IWB or OWB, it might as well be something with 16 rounds. Otherwise a j-frame goes in my pocket.
