Doan may not be getting younger, but he is one hell of a mentor, lets face it, PHX is an overacheiving team at the moment, their scoring comes from what 1 line! thats what killed them in the playoffs, they dont have the depth, losing Doan wont hurt them other than opening some cap space

in other news NYI offered there whole draft to CLB for Murray's pick, and NYI declined

Now the two teams in NHL history fighting over one guy, relevant or not, Is murray really the next Lidstrom

I think for top three picks the habs may have suceeded more than EDM or CLB, had Edmonton picked Murray, i strongly believe CLB would have picked Galchenyuk

I think Yakupov may be more NHL ready, but in an overal picture, Galchenyuk is i think the best of the 3, the Maple Leafs may at a close second in top 5

worst pick of the draft was the "embers" as they flame out with a 3rd round draft pick in the 1st..... what a waste, they could have taken subban for a good backup to Kipper , i guess there hoping for a joe nieuwendyk pick out of him, i just dont see

I have never been under the impression that Doan is rated so high. To me he is like 'Pancakes' Penner: Mostly Filler. If they have strong linemates and an inspired team, they elevate their physical game and stand out.
