Yeah you should check out this guy on Owen Sound Kijiji he has 4x16in steel rims for the Tacoma and 5x17in for FJC. I was just going to tell you if I got the 17in I would sell you my 16in stock Toyota winter rims, and that’s when I realized:confused: that my much loved Michelin X ICE are fitted for my winter rims 265/70 16. I probably will not get the FJC rims; I would have to tell my wife I need new rims and new winter tires, no thanks:mad:

I will admit, I got extremely lucky with this purchase. It was an ebay auction, but the seller only offered local pick-up. He lived out in the middle of nowhere in Ohio, and I had to drive 6 hours each way to get them.

No luck for me on finding a set of Black FJ Cruiser rims. I can get my hands on a set of Gunmetal Gray though. What do yall think should I settle of the Gunmetal Gray or keep looking? Anyone have a pic with the Gunmetal set on a black pearl sand tacoma?

I think I will go with the Gunmetal Gray set. The more times I see pics of them I like them even more than the Matte Black. Everyone is saying that these rims will fit on the 09s but does anyone know if I can use the same tpms from my stock rims?

Back when I put mine on the feeling was that the TPMS sensors wouldn't fit... I'm not so sure of that anymore... would be interesting to know...

OK here we go with what may be the answer to the TPM sensors in the FJ
wheels. This is directly from the 2007 TRD Acessories catalog. (sorry, I couldn't find the current catalog
with the same example of optional wheels)

    Picture3_b680bbc0835b9fc23ed15ff965d8a9134276f1eb.jpg

The FJ wheel below was included in the displayed page of examples.

    Picture2_a2a83fa805512486291c33a08b36f1b72e3e5326.jpg

The example PT904-35070 is the Silver 6 spoke 16" TRD wheel below
(All 16" TRD alloys are exactly the same, just different colors)

Apparently, according to this website:http://www.toyotatpms.com/ the
TRD FJ & TRD Tacoma wheels sensor are produced by the same company. Pacific Industrial Corp.

    Picture1_7c3a1ab24e9da71f58692527870602ad5f5491a6.jpg

Bottom line.. From countless posts I've read on this issue from several other forums while
researching the subject before in bought my matte black TRD's (not installed yet) and the
information on the above website. I would say that you can indeed use the TPM sensors
from your original 16" TRD Tacoma wheels on the 16" FJ's.

Does the difference in offset of the fj cruiser rims and trd off road rims affect the truck's handling, turning, etc or anything else?

The rims I got have same offset as far as I know. No difference in handling for me.
