Yeh I'm a tad concerned. Two days I've been on pins and needles. My nephew got a call to prepare for evacuation. And we've got the bike shop to worry about too....:( They've even evacuated the Military Academy where all the evacuees were supposed to go!

The last report I heard about evacuation of the Air Force Academy was that it was precautionary.

High winds are the big concern now with embers blown away from the fire having a 65% ignition rate :(

I'm hoping for the best-I have several friends in the CO Springs area.

All the best to your family babytruck and to you Lucas.

The Academy should be ok (although 10 acres have burned already), Ft Carson brought out all their CE equipment and cut some giant breaks around the Academy, gunna take 70+mph winds to cross those... hopefully

For those of you who are looking for a fun and easy trail in the Eldorado National forest, check out the Buckskin Joe 4WD only trail. Its off of Foster Meadows Rd. which is off of highway 88. The Buckskin Joe trail goes into Pipi. Its a fun trail

Yeah we have just been following the fires pretty closely. The one up in Larimer County, closest to my house is at 65% contained but that doesn't mean it cant jump again or expand when the winds pick up. Whats crazy is that in the news some experts think that Colorado will be on fire untill Autumn and the rains come. eek :(

In 1989 when the Yellowstone fires started, they burned until the first snows. Let's hope that doesn't happen in CO.

If I buy you an insurance policy, will you make me the sole beneficiary?
I'm kidding. Be safe man. My life nearly got cut short when I was 20 due to some fuckwit running a red light in a stolen car.

Here's the aftermath. That dent in the tank...yeah that was from my leg. Don't have pictures of my ankle bone sticking out of skin. This happened before phones had cameras :anonymous:
