Here's the video of James' crawl up the double step. Sorry I filmed it in portrait instead of landscape, but it did pretty damn good for being done with my phone.

That phone takes some pretty good video. Unfortunately it doesn't do justice to the actual angle and height of that crawl.

I should have gone up the hill to get level with the truck, but it was already half way up before I got back to the truck to get my camera/phone. If I would have filmed it in landscape orientation, it would have showed up larger, too. Oh well, it's just a phone.

And we were dodging scorpions all over that rock pile so I didn't feel like getting further into it.

Damn good quality for a phone in the dark. And yeah..... me and scorpions do not get a long. Anything with more than 4 legs is not really a friend of mine.

Yeah, but the 2nd gens are still bigger, even in a single cab. Plus, ya'll have more tire than I do at the moment. Planning on the OME 3" lift and some 33's not too far down the road though. That should get me over them rocks a bit easier. Maybe in a few years I'll spring for the SAS, but I'm not that crazy yet :D I also think some of that stuff woulda been easier in an automatic, but more driver experience should fix that. Definitely going to air down next time for sure.

Be careful on tire size. There is a reason I got 265/75/16s. Not because I wanted to cheap out on tires. But with our trucks the 4 banner will dog out big time with a bigger tire. If you talk to OutKast he can tell you all about it. So unless you want to switch out tires every time you wheel like he does, or regear, I would suggest a smaller tire like the ones I have. There is a reason my avatar is a turtle lol!

    Just my $.02

As far as automatic... A lot of the time it really does seem like and automatic would be easier to wheel with. There is a lot of clutch finessing causing unintentional rolling back or forward faster than wanted or needed that would be eliminated with auto, but I don't know because both my offroad vehicles have been stick.

I stand corrected, we're running the same size tires. Maybe it's just the driver experience thing then. I still want 33's though, as for bogging down, that's what 5.29 gears are for :D Either way, I need more practice. Looking forward to the next run.

Bah bigger tires - only thing they are good for is looks. Has yet to stop my truck :)

Re-gearing should be fun! I don't plan on it though. I like my small tires :)
