I drove it down to the post office and back. Like you said, once you're moving you don't feel it. Just at idle.

Yeah I didn't get on it at all. I've read mixed reviews/stories about solid mounts on one end and not the other. But once the motor mounts are in, rest assured I will. :D
Plus I wouldn't feel a 5hp difference with my truck :brianr:

At least I'm using a leaf pack designed for my truck and have more travel out of the rear than the front. ;)

    HOE
    LEE
    SHIT

I'm with JD on this one. Feels like I'm driving a completely different truck with the solid motor and transmission mounts in.

The first start was a little...unnerving as the whole truck kinda shutters. Once I got past that part I realized I needed to take ever last coin out of my ash tray or I'd go bonkers. Threw everything loose in the truck on the floor of the garage and went for a little put-put around the mountains. My butt-dyno noticed significantly better throttle response. Instead of the engine rotating and the isolators absorbing that rotation, all the torque is going to the tires. It's actually fairly impressive.

Took the truck through just about everything I would normally and abnormally drive through. At idle the vibrations are noticeable, especially when the a/c compressor kicks on...but IDGAF. Bouncing around through uneven roads the front end isn't nearly as unsettled as it was before. The engine must have just been flopping all over the place with the factory isolators.

    Do it!
With the DR discount the motor mounts were only $85 from poly and just box in the tranny mount like JD did.
I will say...today was one of the rare occurrences where I wished I didn't have 4x4. That shit was all in the way. Took me a hell of a lot longer than I thought. One other point of wisdom. Do the mounts before you do the secondary shock hoop. It made for a giant pain in the ass. I had to remove my bypasses and couldn't get a torque wrench in there. I just went German tight on it.

See what I mean? It feels quicker on throttle resonse, tighter through flexy stuff, and the motor flopping around definitely upsets the weight of the truck and how the shocks feel. I can actually feel my front shocks compress instead of "shuddering" through small stuff. That is a LOT of moving mass
