I don't know what's going on but recently what appears to be a family of birds has decided my truck is the perfect toilet.

I just detailed my Taco last night and low and behold more bird shit this am. It's not even that I mind cleaning it off but this poop seems to be impossible to get out by hand and leaves poopy stains on the paint. I am thinking I am going to have to get a tougher polish or something and machine buff it out...any other suggestions first?

That stuff is acidic and acid eats paint. The etching may not be able to be removed, depending on how deep it is. You can try a mild polish but I have etching on my hood from the previouis owner that didn't come out with machine polishing.

I was afraid of this but there must be some solutions out there, I just don't want to try stuff that for sure doesn't work or makes it worse...
