I love it. No complaints at all. I really love the built-in bluetooth for phone or streaming audio.

Sorry for the long reply. Idk if you are still looking for a HU. But for me the screen is plenty big. I also like the buttons on the side so that I really don't have to look at the screen to raise the volume or change the song when driving.

I'm thinking about getting this head unit, except with the built in HD radio and Bluetooth features, the KW-HDR81BT. How comprehensive are the audio settings on it? I have an Alpine IDA-X305S lying around from my old car and I liked all the goodies it had in the settings (the high pass filter in particular) and I'm hoping the JVC has the same thing, or something similar.

Also, what is that doppler radar thing in the upper right corner of the screen? I watch videos on it doing different things and I can't figure out what its function is.

One more thing, what is everyone's experience with Bluetooth audio streaming with aftermarket stereos? I have an iPhone 4S that I'd like to pair it with. If it is problematic, the USB port on the front can suffice, although the Bluetooth streaming thing sounds pretty sick to me.

I just installed one myself (first time I've ever installed car audio solo). It works just fine and looks decent for the price. I believe I paid ~$150 shipped from crutchfield, which included everything needed for the install...brackets, harness, etc.

I can't say much about all of the features because I essentially installed it for the front USB connection. Oh, and I think that "radar" image is just for show...I can't determine anything special about it.

Sure that's not the Alpine you're talking about? The site says it won't be available until mid-August.

Yes. But you'll have to buy an adapter which can run up to 60 dollars or so. I think you can use steering wheel controls with just about any decent head unit, touch screen or not.

I'm pretty sure it has all of those sound settings also. I don't really play around with them that much since I only had to tweak it just a little to sound great. And the radar looking thing, I'm not sure about. It kind of reminds me of loading or something since when I plug my ipod in, it spins until the music is playing.
