Have you ever flown at all? Is there a local club you can join, or at least hang out with and ask questions. Most pilots are more than happy to help new comers out. Are you thinking nitro or electric (my recommendation). All the guys at my flying field steered me towards a EasyStar, not the sportiest mind you but to give you a good feel for everything. After you learn orientation and all then you can get a little more advanced aircraft.

I just don't want you to get abird that's over your head, then become discouraged because you can't fly it.

Ah R/C... Another hobby come and gone.

I was pretty hard into it for approx a year and a half. I started out with 4x4 short course, and then went to 1/8th scale Buggy. Had a blast, blew loads of money, I'm actually in the process of selling a few things.

    If anyone needs 1/8th scale wheels/tires - I've got em :)

understandable. I just bid on a CX2 on Ebay. Hopefully I'll get a good deal!

For anyone just getting into the hobby.... anything EFlite is the way to go! They fly great right out of the box and are labeled for skill level.

The T-28 Trojan is one of my favorite planes. Make that your second plane!

I was torn between a T28 and the park zone corsair, those were the exact planes recommended to me for my second plane, I picked up the Corsair and love it. It was my first four channel plane.

Dangle, look over on Helifreaks in the classified section you can usually find some good deals on used helicopters. Lots of good info there as well.

Thanks for the input. Easy Star... just looked it up. Practical, affordable, and with the exception of aileron controls, it's a good starter. I'll have to look up to see if there is an RC club here. There used to be and they flew at a field near where I live but haven't seen them in a couple years.

    Thanks again.

If you think you want ailerons, look up another one, I think it's Sky surfer. Very close to the same layout, but with ailerons.

If i had a local track to go to, it would be different. I'd like to have a heli and a crawler.. More versatile for my use
