    When Toyota does a buyback do they include items that were added after initial purchase when determining the value? thanks

    I highly doubt it, (people would be boasting about how much this and that costs) I would remove everything and keep it. From what I've heard you can take anything so long as the vehicle will still drive.

    Nope. They give u the value as if it were still stock. I took everything off I could.

    I just wanted to know if it was worth leaving the tow pkg, stereo etc... they were installed after the initial sale.

    Remove your personal upgrades prior to meeting for the buyback.
    Usually not worth the aggravation trying to negotiate a fair price for aftermarket equipment.

    Although... I have seen aftermarket items compensated for on very rare occasions.

    Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
    Toyota offered me an additional $250 for my A.R.E. cap and I took it b/c it was missing a window, had no lock, and I scored it for only $40, 8 months prior.

    I would think they would give you "fair value" for the tow package but def take your tunes! I gave it back with no stereo or muffler :)
