Long Travel BS Thread

Thinking about building one for my tacoma

 

I went all bolt on with that. Held: 2 spares, 2 gas bottles, 1 five gallon gas can, 2 20 gallon dump cans, generator, welder, jack, 2 ammo cans, and a big tool chest. Oh and 2 race radio antennas and 4 lights with flashers and a cooler

 

So krish, what happen to these light pics u promised!?

nature of the beast yo, you'll get used to it. A general rule for leaf sprung trucks is you want little to no rebound valving, so super light valving and the rebound turned all the way out. I personally have my rebound tube turned in a litttle but thats what works for me, YMMV.

 

our heavy ass thick sidewalled tires dont help either my street ride is TERRIBLE! but offroad its butter in the big stuff but on washboard roads/chatter bumps god damn my truck will rattle your fucking fillings out lol.

 

Quick question for those who have fiberglass bedsides. They are obviously wider so what did you guys do for the gas filler neck? Since it now sits in compared to the bedside? Pics would be helpful as well! Thanks!

Someone else will probably chime in that did something about it plus its different on the 2nd gens but I just left mine stock didnt even cut a fuel door. Since the flair is 6" the nozzle fits in the wheelwell and goes right in the filler haha.

 

LOL that's one way... I have Glassworks bedsides and the door is there but it sits a few inches short... I was thinking about cutting and extending the tubes so I can mount everything like stock again...

 

The Toyota part is 77213-35370. It's the fuel tank to filler pipe from a 4Runner. I don't have any pics of this though. I got mine from the dealership for roughly $40.
