It's a 4 door prerunner with the V6 engine. it has leather interior with the trd off road package. it has 78k miles on it. the dealership wants 24k but since its was the end of the month, they'd let me have it for 21k. i walked out and came home to check the edmunds.com TMV. basically it told me that it was supposed to be 19.5k. is there really a way i can walk out the door with the truck for that price?

Hell yeah, tell them you'll give them 19k OTD

They'll take it or leave it, if they don't want it keep shopping.

Don't give any more then you want to!

Find any and ALL imperfections with it, a scratch, a dent, a broken air vent, anything and point it out.

Don't act excited about it either haha

All you can do is be ready to walk and tell them what you'll pay. I bought mine at barely 4 years old and 41K. It's a 4x4 and manual trans with access cab, so not a good comparison to what you're looking at, but I paid 17,500. I bought from an auto broker. The local dealer wanted 22 or 23K if I remember for the same thing with auto and a camper shell. It had 60K miles on it. They would not budge.

Some folks want to talk about how much the truck is worth, others are ready to sell.

I'd look around some more and see what comparable trucks are priced at, both private party and dealership. Also try to pay cash or have your own financing in place. That will allow you to tell the dealer that you'll just go buy private party if they won't provide premium value for using their business.

It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

I have 62k on my 08 so that may be a bit high but nothing to worry about.

I wouldn't be worried about it breaking down, but I'd say that's less than ideal miles, and definitely a bargaining chip.

No, but telling them i dont need a new truck and walking out for a 5th time might light a fire under their rear end if they wont accept 19k.

i have 290k on my 02 sr5 and 185k on my 07 fjc, neither motor is tried or using oil. i wouldn't be to concerned about the miles on that truck!

If you've walked out 4 times, they obviously are not playing so pass and keep looking.

    Trust me!

Hell yea --Piss them off-- offer LOW then see what happens. Take quotes from the internet. A trade-in always helps.
