AUTO up/down windows and Auto Lights

as an x installer i feel its my duty (haha) to inform everyone who has no idea about all the cool little gadgets out there that make it so much easier to do what alot of yall have been talking about doing.

AUTO UP/DOWN Windows
no need to buy switchs from scions or lexus or try to cut circuit boards and all this what not, simply purchase a DEI 530t which will do 2 windows 1 touch up/down. Buy two if u want to do the back windows for everyone with a dub cab


AUTO HEADLIGHTS
ive read a few posts where people want auto headlights like the camrys and other older toyotas......SIMPLE and cheap way of achieving this is by purchasing a DEI 545t

 

is the DEI530t a switch where you can do normal up or down and need to push/pull further to get auto up/down?

my mercedes was like that and I would not want to go automatically all the way down or up except if I push the button further.

 

If I'm not mistaken the folks who have tried the DEI 530 have ended up with auto up/down all the time...So you have to oppose the switch to get a half way down window...

How hard is it to install one of these bad boys, I don't really understand the attached instructions.

05+ tacomas have type A windows


Pull door pannel to gain access to the driver main window switch
there will be two wires ones up ones down for all for each windows
once u find the wires for the window u want, cut both inhalf
on the cut wire, one side goes to one wire and the other goes to another on the 530t (per instructions for A windows)
same with other cut wire
now do it for the other windows u want to do
power and ground
test

ignore the orange and red wite on 530t unless u have a dei alarm and u want to interface to control your windows with your alarm key fob.....also higer end dei alarms offer convience closure where if u leave ur windows down and get out of ur car the alarm will roll them up for u with out being told to.

Yeah, I just wouldn't want the headache of trying to figure that out on my own... I could probably do it fine, it would just be easier if someone knowledgeable were watching.

 

WINDOW WIRE COLORS
(always test before using)

LEFT FRONT blue (up) blue/black (down)
RIGHT FRONT blue/yellow (up) black (down)

LEFT REAR green/white (up) green/red (down)
RIGHT REAR green/black (up) green (down)

 

So one of these module will get my driver side and passenger side to both work auto up and down?

 

yes one 530T will to 2 windows 1touch up and down....purchase a second one and u can do your rear windows if u have a double cab. everything can be done from drivers door.

 

I have had the 530T in 3 trucks, Love it! If you hold the button up/down, then let go it will stop then, right where you want it.

 

Nice job!
First time I had to use a magnifying glass to read the directions that came with it the print was so small.
The hardest thing I found was getting all the wires thru the door boot.

 

I know I'm resurrecting an ancient thread, but have any current members actually done either of these? Both sound worthwhile...
