ok. Sorry if i confused u. but i ran a 12 gage wire from battery to the relay with a 20 amp fuse(power for lights). and i had a 5 amp fuse and wire to a switch that turns on the relay(power to make relay work/turn on).

I used 12 gage wire because i am runing 75w HIDs.

well my lights came in today. it'll probably be a little bit til i install them, waiting for a some switches from ottratw. Initial thoughts:

pros: appear to be of good quality. reputable seller. shipped priority. always got a reply when sent a pm. nice discount with gb

cons: falsely advertised as kragens, delayed shipping from noted date. delayed responses from seller (but always responded).

not totally sure what you're saying here, 'kragen doesn't make any of them'

going off what i've hear about them not being kragens, i'd assume if they were a name brand they would not come in white unmarked boxes without any info pamphlets of any sort. therefore IF this is true the items are as pictured as you would not be able to tell the difference from a picture. but not as described as they're described as kragens.

fair enough, i wouldn't know anything about buying in bulk. but I'm sure i will be happy with them. everything i've heard has been great about them. just sharing my initial thoughts as a new buyer.

I put mine right next to the battery, there is all ready a threaded screw hole there. I wanted to put them somewhere else, like a fuse box, but did not happen. Not enough room.

Pretty much same experience as others. Checked with gt - lights should have been here by now, think USPS may have lost them...agh.

Gtlightingusa, any idea how hard it is to change bulbs in these lights? Also, what style bulbs are they - D2S? Would maybe like to swap them out to 4300k sometime in the future.

    Jin,

Just got the lights - they were delivered to the wrong house by accident.

Excellent packaging - lights feel really solid. Liking the stainless hardware, too.

Might get them wired up tonight.

If there is any interest, I installed a blue seas fuse block, and a relay. I can start a thread if anyone would like to see how I did the install.

Will try and get some night shots. Kind of difficult when it doesn't get dark until 1 AM.

55w 7" tend to wash out some of the color of the HID bulb due to the light outputa, 55w 6000k will look similar in color to a 35w 43k-5k
