Would shipping be cheaper if it were to a business address?

Shipping is always cheaper to a business but not by much on sliders.

Got the bolt on sliders installed. Had a couple issues. haha
    [IMG]

First those are 1/2" bits and they don't fit in a 3/8" drill which is pretty much what all drills are and I ended up having to go buy one. The bits are awesome though! After I got the 6 holes drilled in the bottom (coincidentally I ended up breaking one of the bits on hole 6 of 6, good thing I got 2 bits) I found that the little squares backing pieces didn't fit on some of the holes I drilled. I used an angle grinder to shave down the sides of 4 of them (2 per side) so they would fit. I know the the 05's have their own style of frame. They did some improvements on the '06's and then did more improvements for the '07's and up. So there are at least 3 styles of frames, although I don't know if the only change was too the motor mounts or if there were more changes. So this may not be an issue for newer Tacos.
The kickouts on the DCSB are right under the back doors and there is very little clearance, about half an inch.
I took a floor jack and lifted the pickup up by the slider (ran out of jack just before the tires were off the ground) and while there is very little flex in the sliders there is enough for the back doors to make contact with the kickouts.
So just don't stop when your sliders are sitting on a rock or something and you will be good. haha. I set the child locks on my doors as a just in case reminder, but I doubt it will be an issue. While it is possible you could bend the sliders on a trail and cause them to catch the doors, I have my doubts since one of my friends rolled his Taco in Moab and the sliders took all the force of the roll and came out straight and fine.

I would plan on spending a whole day on the install. Those bits rock, but the frame is really thick and hard so it will heat the frame and bit up really fast. I got impatient on hole 3 of 3 for the passenger side and over heated the bit and it dulled the shit out of it... I tried using some regular 1/2" bit that was laying around and it didn't even touch the frame, it just ground down the bit.

ya mine are super close too, but i like it like that. on the other hand, glad you tested that to see how much flex would do and if the door would contact when stressed. Thanks for teh heads up

Thanks for the write up they are a pain. i wonder if your body mounts have settled we had about 1/2" clearance at the rear door on the kickout. And yes they are true 1/2" bits so you need a 1/2" drill and every drill that's worth buying is 1/2" I don't buy 3/8th drills
