Installed a 2.5" lift on my wifes jeep in prep for her b-day present. It included spacers for the coil springs, extension brackets for the shocks and brackets to lower the brake line mounting point. Took 4 hours because the springs were a bitch to get back on with the spacers in place. Had to use all my weight to push the axle down and all my strength to compress the spring enough. Looks good but needs bigger tires now.

I also painted my cup holders black and deep cleaned the interior my truck after Jace gave it a full fluid change and spark plug change yesterday. Thanks again Jace.

Thanks guys for the comments on the photos!!

Bob, I actually didnt have the gradated ND filter with me yesterday so I made do with a circular Polarizer which gave me the 3 stops needed. I was only able to get the shutter to be a 20th of a second though, but apparently that was slow enough to streak the water.

I cant stop looking at google earth and seeing all the lakes up in that area, i want to visit all of them!!:D

i hear ya...that's where our hikes have been this year so far...been to diamond lake and blue lake/mitchell lake in the indian peaks

lake hikes are good for the dogs and like the waterfall pics you posted, there are many scenic views along most lake hikes...

which the breck area was closer and didn't have 70 as a return! 285 from breck would take a long time still

Yeah, it was a drag coming back 70 yesterday. Im now looking into trying to summit pacific peak and get a view of pacific tarn lake, which after researching is the highest named lake in the US. Looks like a fun hike for sure!!!

I wish i could bring our dog on hikes, she is a bit to nutty and would probably run away off leash. I would end up summitting a lot quicker if she was with us though as she would be pulling me up the mountain:D

yeah, thats what im finding out. Its pretty craggy all the way around the rim of mohawk lakes. Also zooming in on Google earth you cant see any trail that is broken on the loose rock so you would be basically walking blind unless you have a GPS. which i dont anymore  sold that sucker a while ago

easiest i see is the NE slopes to Pacific..

    http://www.summitpost.org/northeast-slopes-via-spruce-creek/165896

or the south ridge and down the saddle..

    http://www.summitpost.org/pacific-peak/150617

both involve a snow climb or a steep loose rocky ascent

    Here you are buddy,

To reach this trailhead, follow Colorado 9 south from Breckenridge for about 2.5 miles to Spruce Creek Road and turn east. The gravel road travels through a residential neighborhood until a parking area about 1.2 miles at a road split at 10,380'. This is a good place to park passenger cars, and this trailhead is accessible in winter. From here, higher clearance vehicles can continue on the left (south) of the two roads until it ends at 11,080' - about 3 miles from Colorado 9. This is the trailhead for the popular local hike to Mohawk Lakes.

once past the parking lot gate, Stay to the left on that bumpy fire road, dont take any of the trails shooting off right. It comes up to a dead end, thats where the hiking trail begins. Keep your eye out for a HUGE jack rabbit. We've seen him darting across the road both times we were up here. Huge dark brown rabbit with bright white paws.

ENJOY man!!! its a fun hike and some of the best scenery in colorado. Id say its better than hanging lake, and saint mary's glacier for sure.

Man, im a dork which you will notice by how much information i just gave you:D

keep me posted for sure...i'd have to run through the climb with kayla to see if she'd want to tackle it, otherwise i can head up on a sunday and get it...wondering if axes would be necessary (i don't have any)..with the way things are looking up there, i'm sure there's plenty of dry ways up, but snow maybe easier on a straight up climb those cliffs

Oh yeah... I didn't see a fence or anything, but there's no other way up but going over/through that first obstacle.

My stock Tacoma with 152,000 miles on the rear springs and no armor does just fine.

this is the fencing i was talking about. We exited Middle saint vrain this way because we ran it from coney flats. Have you done the creek crossing in front of your sig which im assuming is the one at the top of middle saint vrain? I was thanking lord that i didnt take my stock tacoma on that trail. But then again im a wuss and dont want to damage my daily driver. I ran Eldorado MTN, and Caribou creek stock and then jumped in a jeep for Coney flats and MSV.

crystal lake gate is open now too. But you cant drive up past the lake anymore as trail damage shows. Its closed just after lower crystal lake.
