whats a good off road setup?

    well i wanted a LT setup but from my research its pointless to have in nc..so im going back to a 4x4 offroad setup..im really only use to diesels so a tacoma is new to me. what would be a good offroad setup for a 1st gen 4x4?

    A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
    OME with Dakars. Can't go wrong.

    5100s and wheelers 3 leaf AAL is good if you dont have a grand to blow on the above.

    Icon/All Pro.....chopped for 35's
    Def not.....what's your budget? A high end coilover and replacement leafs in the rear will be your best bet. Stick with the proven brands, Icon, Fox, King (pick a color and the best price) in an extended travel version with UCA, new leafs and matching shocks. That's the best do all set-up you can get without LT!

    Edit - or look into a 2" over LT set up for more flex (AP makes a great kit as does TC)!

    so get the front end coil overs but dont do anything in the rear besides a after market leaf spring kit? and budjet about 5-6k

    Alright well i wanna go with fox coil overs in the front and fox shocks in the rear. What uca should i get? And should i get the fox shocks with the resivor on the inside or the separate one where its on the outside?

    Thanks colt. Now all i need is direction on what fox coil overs to.get and what size. And what fox shocks to get in the rear and what leaf spring kit. Just wanna make sure im getting the right stuff ..new to thia kind of stuff haha

    With a budget of $5 - 6,000, I'd give Downsouth Motorsports a call. They can give you some great ideas on setups. Tell them you're a TW member, they offer free shipping and sometimes run sales. They are very knowledgable and have set up many TW members' trucks.
