    look at winds. when the storms were coming in it was prob to much weeds but it should be ok now maybe they say se winds bring the weeds to the galveston bay complex. but ill try to find more info

    Don't let the weed discourage you the fish are still there and you can always find a spot that's not covered in it. Even with the weed it has still been very fishable. Tomorrow is looking like a decent day to hit the beachfront and the fishing has been hot.

    i think ill just skip this whole week. i dont want johnny law dog sniffing my butt just cause people bring beer to the beach. i dont drink but i dont like to be hassled either. no offense to the cops they're doing thier job. just rather stay home and not get bit. maybe early morning leave by noon, after the tide movements over, should be ok i imagine that they would be looking for the afternoon drinkers

    I'm pretty basic when I go fishing. One rod maybe a second just for backup and a over the shoulder tackle box with about 10 lures in it. To me less is more when you are out wading. Early morning bite has been pretty good many getting their limit in about a hour. I wont be making it back down there till next week.

    Around this time I'll be in the surf since the trout are thick and usually up close. If the surf is rough I'll hit west bay which is sometimes productive for me. I'll rarely ever use live bait since I hate paying the high prices and it usually just dies on me anyway.

    That was from an idiot going the wrong way down a oneway street and hit me. Was a little over a month ago.

    Actually I've never fished around the pass mainly do to the strong current that runs there. I've heard of far to many drownings in the area and since I've never really worn a PFD I stay away but I plan to start wearing one so it will be a new option to fish now.
