Thanks for the info Al! But me being the newbie on these (or any) trails, I'll be following my buddies that know the area better than me, but I'll mention it to them and see if they're thinking of doing the same trail. If not, I'll definitely keep that in mind for the next time. I'll give Ron a call and see if he wants to join.

Any one want to train for a 100 mile bike ride. I am not trying to hijack this thread just wondering. I would like to attempt this race in either 2011 or 2012. Depending on how long it will take to get in good enough shape.

Any of you guys on here now want to ride Hollenbeck? It's East of Chula Vista at the end of Otay Lakes Road where it meets Jamul. I'm looking to go in about an hour if weather permits... which it does. Who's down?

Mellow?!?! Got to climb the hills. Haha. Thanks I'll watch out for the horses. I actually ran into two of them the last time I was there. I was starting my downhill and around the bend are two woman riding up. Had to pull over and stop right away. Good stuff.
Let me know when you ride.

Haha, well mellow as in trail conditions...low weight, rigid, longer crank arms make the Cross-Check amazing on the trails, however the AM bike is my choice when its super rocky and I want to bomb the DH.

Yeah I just hope my shoulder is better before I move...really want to ride Ted Williams a few more times and ATT again.

I got a 2012 Trek Fuel EX8. There's a picture of it on page 1. :D Noble is a freaking great trail. I'm itchin' to do that one soon. Maybe we can plan a Mission trails ride if you feel like meeting in the middle for now unless there's a worthy enough trail in N.County. Either way though, if you're back on the bike, let's put your name down as a person of interest.

Hey Guys, are there a lot of people who ride on here? Id be down to go riding. Only been in SD for a little while and have ridden teds, mission trail, PQ, noble, and anderson truck trail.

I am a bit busy on the weekends for the next three weeks but during the week I try to get out two or three times. Mostly hike a bike teds in the morning at 6am or could ride los penasquitos at 6am/6pm.

Anyways I am down to ride anywhere, anytime as work permits.

Right on Grant. There aren't too many of us in San Diego who MTB. Some of the members already moved out of San Diego already. I took a year off to save up for the new bike I'm riding now. I'm always down to ride with some good company. It sounds like you're a good rider based on the trails you mentioned. Those aren't too easy and require a lot of endurance. Just let me know when you go. What part of SD do you live in?

Hey Albert, I live in allied gardens but work near sorrento valley so I ride PQ quite a bit or teds. PQ I ride on my cross country bike but I have a 8inch travel DH bike that I like to spend the most time riding. A couple of guys I started to ride with might head down to noble or att and shuttle it early weds(July 4th) morning if your down. Hopefully we would be done before 1 so everyone can enjoy the 4th. I will let you know more details if your interested.

I'd be in for a ride sometime even though the bike I have was from a buddy that gave me a pos Walmart special. It's all good though, I beat the thing and it's held up so far. Frame isn't the problem, its the de-railer and suspension.

I work July 4th (3:15AM to 11:15AM). I couldn't go. :( I am off July 5th though. Nobel sounds like a lot of fun too. It's been a while since I was there. Alright, you've got me scratching my head here... what is teds? Ted Williams Parkway? What trail is this?

If you're comfortable with taking it out there then your more than welcome. I wouldn't though recommend Noble. :p At least not with that bike. PQ would be cool though. The company of another TW member riding a ride is always cool. Haha

I think it is called Ted Williams. It's near a middle school off middlebrook lane I think, in Poway? Its just a small mountain with quite a bit of trails and jumps. It is mostly hike a bike up though. It's a fun trail you just have to work for everything, reason I usually only ride it at 6am or 6pm or else it is way too hot. I am usually the only one haha, unless some of the guys I know tag along.

Shucks about working weds. Maybe well catch a ride soon!

Oh I can't go off a tiny jump without the front end smashing metal to metal... I got what I paid for or didn't pay for for that matter.
