Not worth it really. It's hard to do right as they have to be perfectly strait. Plus I just paid 200 for some new packs. If I had know this was going down I'd get some expos. What I really want

It's not bad at all to relocate them. But with new leaf packs already l see why you are in no hurry to do the relocation.

I had a shop do mine. Took me a while to find a shop that would actually do it. Biggest issue is having a "frame welding license". Im guessing insurance is an issue. The shop that did mine did it for cash and they said they werent going to insure anything. Even said technically "we didnt do anything :spy: " Too much liability.

After persistently (and patiently) looking for a decent, color matching shell(preferably for a decent, condition matching price) since purchasing my black 2000 Taco last October, I finally scored :D
I now have a Leer 100R black shell in great condition (nearly new if the side windoor interior hardware is any indication): perfect carpet, solid windoors on both sides, LED third brake light, slider front window, and working locks and keys all the way around. All the struts even work! Not too shabby for under six hundred bucks.

The last few hours I've found myself taking leisurely walks around my truck, grinning like a fool, plotting myriad summer camping trips, which will undoubtedly be all the more enjoyable thanks to the cornucopia of tasteful mods I've plotted for the bed of my truck this evening

Thanks CL for the find, and especially to Art, proprietor of Toyota Master Diagnostic Tech in Grass Valley, California (and an all around swell chap so far as I could tell) for the fair price, for waiting for me to come pick it up, and most importantly for the honest assessment of the shell before I drove 400 miles round trip to look at it. I nearly forgot how much of a pleasure it is to deal with a person who values simple up front honesty as a sales tactic, rather than attempting to persuade every caller to come haggle over your wares after offering to share only the most useless surficial details conceivable over the telephone. Ifyou're in the Gold Country area of California and need work on your Taco, hit up Art at 530 913 8747.

The fallout of this is that I had to remove my unique, custom fabricated fold down light bar, as the shell renders the bed mount format of the bar unusable to me. Perhaps you know someone who might be interested in an unusually appealing light bar? This is no ordinary light bar, in that it:
    1) sports four chrome 100 watt KC Daylighters to dispel any darkness attempting to foil your nocturnal outdoor adventures
    2) has a built in mount for a Hi-Lift jack
    3) folds down neatly behind the cab when not in use, simultaneously minimizing noise from air turbulence and increasing fuel economy, as well as
    4) protects your KC lights from ill willed low lying braches on the trail that aim to spoil your hard earned recreation time by destroying your KC's
    5) eliminates the necessity to hide your off road lights under unsightly covers whose sole indignant passion is to ruin the crisp, clean aesthetics that your naked chrome lights would otherwise offer, and...
    6) Finally, as if all that weren't stellar enough, this light bar has the infinitely amazing ability to instantaneously convince any nitwit who decides to ride your ass with his brights on that he ought to rethink his ways in a hurry...

The bar was ingeniously fabbed by the gentleman who I bought the truck from. Its angle iron u-shaped frame sits atop the bed rail behind the cab, extending around to the side frame rails where four 1/2 inch bolts hold it down. The horizontal bar that the lights are mounted to pivots, giving the entire assembly the ability to spring to life at a moments notice, endowing their owner with sharp ocular clarity during times of extreme darkness. Then, as if they hadn't already done enough by selflessly conquering the visual depravity of a bleak moonless night, the humble light bar pivots back to its original position, resting comfortably behind the cab during dull periods of everyday driving. It is this unique trait that gives this bar the awesome abilities detailed above, feats that ordinary light bars aspire to but are inherently incapable of!

Light Baris centrally located in the Middle of Nowhere, Nevada, and currently calls theBlack Rock Desert its home.

Since the Light Bar is a custom fabbed piece, its hard for me to put a price on it. Your thoughts? I listed it locally on Reno Craigslist for $300. The lights alone are $100/pair new.

I also have a complete, assembled factory two piece driveshaft with carrier bearing FS...replaced it with a single piece.

That's why all pro makes those hangers with an edge to bump right up to the frame so you don't have to square it or anything. Just bump and weld :p

Last night i picked my truck up from Advanced Muffler (Scappoose), i pretty much told him what i wanted and he did just that. Flowmaster original 40 with 1 in 2 out, 2.5" pipe with 3" matt black tips ovalled out. Originally they were supposed to be one in front of each rear tire but the gas tank made the design go to sh*t, so this was plan B. The looks could not have turned out better IMO. However, the sound is very VERY loud. It sounds like a V8 on steroids. I'm gonna drive it a week and if it still seems too much im gonna swap for the Delta series which i've been told it puts less vibrations etc into the cab. Maybe i'll get a sound clip this week.

You can get the 5125's with 9" of travel for a 3" lift, thats what I run

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

    this is true

Piss on most if not all AAL's, Add 2 chevy or ford springs to the stock leafs (this will yeild 3" of lift) & get a set of 5100's for the front match them with some Eibach/Toytec 3" lift coils & enjoy the ride

I understand your reason for putting it there, It is a bad location if you actually wheel it off road.. Sliders go there.

To make a practical and functional side exit is to mount it higher and cut the bed side like the race trucks have it and it is mounted at a more angled output.

The way yours are is just going to invite disaster from snags, And with the exhaust so close to your window you can get more of the toxic fumes.

So just found my passenger side balljoint was missing 3 of 4 bolts... The last time they were taken out was during my frame swap. lucky i did the driver CV scince then and used locktite. Grabbed the bolts from my spare front end i picked up awhile back. Made my but pucker driving it home though.
