GF performance Chips

Does anyone know if these things are any good for your Tacoma?

Rule of thumb: Supercharger is about the only way to gain serious power (+70hp) and almost nothing will help MPG.

 

if there was anything that would work like that automakers would already have it in use. as much as we like to complain about automakers shortcuts, they do spend lots of money on R&D when it comes to engines, and with fuel prices over the last decade no one would pass up on this.

Not so fast there, we all know the technology is there for better mpg's, but the question remains as to why it isn't used?

 

some of it depends on cost, and remember, in the late 70's when oil was high, it was all about mileage, and when oil pooped, Reagan allowed all fed. fuel mileage increases to expire. in 1980 v8's were dead.

now something our gov. wont do is carbon fiber. we invented it and are going to let the Japs. take control of it.
you can take 40% of the weight out of a car and make it 40% stronger, wont rust, and wont need painted.
