Whoops! I saw the "TRD Offroad" in your truck description and made an assumption that it was the truck you were looking to modify. My bad.

that is the truck he's looking to modify i'm sure, but just b/c its an offroad doesnt mean it has to be 4x4...just like a sport doesnt have to be 4x2

 The TRD Offroad package is only available on the 4x4 models. Go to Toyota's website and try to build one without 4wd.

I'm not saying 4x2's can't go offroad (nor would I ever make a statement like that!) but if it has the TRD Offroad package, it's by definition a 4x4. It seemed a fair assumption based on description of his rig.

I have the Allied Spindles on my truck. I ended up paying a shop here in SoCal to install them so I'm not of much help. But I do know that Bsully1850 on customtacos and ttora did install his with a few other members. If I remember right I think he lived down in San Clemente. I don't know if he is a member here but you should try contacting him for info if you plan on doing them yourself. He might be able to provide you with a couple tips. I paid $260 for install and alignment. They are worth every penny!

it might be that way on newer ones, but the 05-07's u can get an offroad w/o 4x4. the offroad itself comes w/ the rear locker, but the 4x4 was a take it or leave it option

Damnit. I almost made it through the entire week without learning something!

With the help of the game on Sunday I'll see what I can do this weekend to forget something else so everything evens out. ;)

odd...i swear my prerunner had the lifted bilstein suspension, electronic rear locker, power outlet in the bed...and TRD offroad stickers...doesn't that make it a TRD off-road 4x2?

If you see some guy hopping down the street kicking himself in the ass, that's me. I really had no idea that Toyota offered any 2wd Gen 3s with the offroad package, or even a rear locker for that matter.
