Hi ladies and gents  off topic question for you.

    Does anyone have Rheumatoid Arthritis?

I'm asking here because its usually an older person condition. But after about 5 or 6 years of joint pain I've been diagnosed at the ripe old age of 21 :(

that's why I try to keep the E-brake working properly on all vehicles, just got to remember it's there and not just a parking brake.
over the years, I've had to use it more than once when a master cyl. went.
guess that's why they went to the dual master cyl.

WHAT ^^^^! Must be kidding ? YEA, thought old people around 95 or so got that.

I have Arthur in my foot as well as my lower spine. My lower spine is under control by my stretchingroutine twice a day. The foot on theother hand is a PITA. The doc told me hecould operate and scrape it away. Theprocess is painful and Arthur will just come back. I get an injection in the foot to ease thepain for about 2 months.

I only get an injection if I know I will be in an active period with a lot of walking. I am scheduled for an injection on 7/16. We go on a vacation on 7/17 that will have medoing a lot of walking in Toronto and Niagara Falls.
Where is the Arthur located. When I was in my 20's a friend of mine wife had RA in her wrists. She was actually in a research group at theNational Institute of Health. She already had artificial joints in her wrists.

I hope there is something the docs can do for you because 35years ago the diagnosis for RA was not very kind.

    Good morning Susan and Jim:

Finished my outside work for today. Already getting too warm to work outside. Next up is to pick up some junk at church and take it to the dump.

This afternoon is devoted to fixing a headger.

I also need to get tickets for a baseball game on July 4th. Cost of the tickets are less if purchased early. ;)

Our local team is the Bowie Baysox.

    Fireworks after the game.

Most dogs cannot stand the loud noise for sure. Our cat does not like thunder or lightening. He goes to his comfort spot really quick. ;)

I wish they had a comfort spot, but they don't. They are up and down and pant and are just uncomfortable :(

For our cat his spot is on top of the left stereo cabinet.

Someone in the house actually put a cat sleeping pad up there for him. :anonymous:

You're just looking out for his well being, yeah, that's what it is :p

Wonder if i could get them to go in the closet, with the door open and see if that might not be as noisy :notsure:

Hard to say. A dog has a lot better hearing sense than we do. Even regular sounding sharp noises make most dogs and cats flinch a little.

My dog hears the sound of the fridge/bags opening no matter how quite we do it. He never fails to come running in hope of a treat haha. He didn't freak out last 4th of July, hopefully he will be the same.

Yeah we are working on solutions to try and put it in remission. I am seeing a specialist on Thursday. Mine didn't start in my hand and feet though which is why they never though to test me for it. I have it in my hips, shoulders and neck. Sometimes my jaw will even stiffen up.

I went to a chiropractor/sports physician because my muscles are starting to be constantly contracted and he baically manually worked them to relax a bit which was excruciating :annoyed::annoyed: I cant imagine how they use to diagnose RA

But I hope yours gets better and I cant wait to starting walking again :yay: (At least better then I am now)

Also Happy 4th :) :oldglory: (disregard my sig :p)

^^^ Sorry to hear about the RA - unfortunately, it can happen to any of us, not just as we get older. I've got my share of aches and pains that are arthritis related - all the years of accumulated abuse on the joints while in the Army. But, I know that it's nothing compared to the RA issues - so you have my sympathy and good thoughts that they can get it into remission.

    Carl:
A lot of young people have RA. NIH did a lot of case studies on the affliction in the past. They may still be doing the research. Usually RA affects a joint and basically it, the joint, desinergrates (SP).

Very painful as well. Makes me look like a piker when I whine about my foot.
