I changed it from stock RTR (white pads, soft spring) to FT V2 yellowish pads and stiffer spring along with the hardware (plates, washer and nut), adjusted per instruction on team associated website for the factory team (0.5mm of the top shaft showing). I adjusted it in the parking lot, on that video I was running with the nut sitting flush with the end of the top flash, but I agree, I also think is too tight but can't adjust it more.

I have a question for you. On the RTR clutch the instructions say to compress with pliers the spring before installing it, but in the factory team manual it does not say that (different clutch spring than RTR), so I didn't do it when I installed it.

Does it also need to be compressed with pliers before installing ?

I'm thinking that if I do, it might give me a little more room to adjust....

I have always compressed mine, if the spring is brand new. It seems to stay where I adjust it a little better. I could'nt help to notice you lifting the fronts in that gravel, I run mine loose enough they won't even lift on pavement. That also improves gear life. I have had to turn the nut around backwards before, (nylon first) to get my slipper to suit me, ran like that for ever.

Cool thanks, I'll compress it then.

Yeah, with stock rtr clutch and spring it did not lift the front end on pavement.

    I'll keep that in mind

i like how relaxing it is... hahahaha...

since we drive our tacomas pretty fast in the desert, i don't mind slowing down a bit with my RC crawlers... plus it can be challenging doing set courses where you typically have to avoid going in reverse to correct... it's all about finding the right lines to take...

although, admittedly, i own 1 complete crawler but 5 other fast RCs...

I dissagree.. Crawlers to me aren't necessarily more fun then my fast rc's but its more about using your brain, its about finding lines and thinking more on how to get to a point without flipping or reversing. I can make a semi decent course in the woods or in a rock pile in just a few minutes, and have fun trying it over and over, my fast rc's i have to drive atleast an hour to a track to have fun, bashing gets boring after while not to mention $$$.

Not saying crawlers are the shit but they arn't "boring", its not for everyone..

I prefer using my brain on more important things... when it comes to RC, I just wanna let loose and haul ass. Breaking parts is just part of the game, its no biggie to me.

Like my uncle always said, "If you can't afford it, just fuckin' steal it!"

Out of all the lipos I own, I like these the best. They're significantly lighter than the 5000mah 50C of the same brand which seems to be easier on the whole system and end up giving you about the same runtime in a go-fast r/c.

And a great charger, for the money..

Dangle is correct, just got to look in the right place, Hobby King or Hobby Partz is hard to beat.
