    I no dos windshield but recommend Safelite! :thumbsup:

    AC compressor is easy to change out. If you can change an alternator you can change an ac compressor . . . but you need a vacum pump to pull a vacumm on the system once you change it out to get rid of all moisture in the lines and then add refrigerant. I use to have all the equip to do this but once I joined the Navy I solds it all. Should have kept it.

    Brakes arent bad to do either.

    :confused: Not that many things to fix on breaks... Pads, rotors, drums, master cylinder. Unless the calipers have been ground down to the pistons because lack of pad replacement.

    Word....I remember one time they guys at midas or someshit told me they couldn't get the drum off and they would have to smash it off :cool: That was the lead mechanic telling me. Had to bring my mechanic up there the next day to get it off in 5 min.

    Yeah it's common for drums to freeze up especially round the coast cause of salt. Nothing that parts blaster can't fix with a presoak the night before though.

    Heat is the problem these days. Its a tough gig to drive 4 hours to destination... wheel for a couple, few... 4 hours... then drive 4 back. almost need to make it an overnighter. My daughter (26yo) mentioned on the way home from fireworks that she wanted to go with me next time!

    I d prolly do it... though my free weekends are limited in July. Heading to Saranac Lake in NY for camping etc. MUCH cooler at night up there!
