Is the 5100/AAL route as easy as it seems?

Looking to get a mild lift, and the 5100/AAL seems to be a pretty attractive option.

Is it as cheap/easy as it sounds?
I'd probably do....2.5" in the front, and ??? in the rear. 1.75? 2? (recommendations plz )
Truck is used as a daily, 90% street, not hauling heavy loads

It seems to be about $250 in parts, reasonably easy install, and an alignment and I'm GTG?
I'm a little bit naive on truck suspension. I've done a handful of car stuff.

Will I need extended brake lines?
Will I be murdering my CV joints?

Also plan on 265/75/16 tires... Would the next size up be doable? Worth it? Mainly just don't want it to look dinky, but I bet those would fill it up pretty well.

 

there's a billion threads on this topic, 265's are fine, 275's may rub at full lock, search and you can spend a week reading all the threads about this.

 

You have a prerunner so no CV to worry about. 2.5" won't be a problem for you. Anything larger then 265/75R16 you will have to trim or do a pinch weld mod.

Fronts set at 2.5

Tires are 255/85/16
