    I finally today got everything settled for my surgery... Yeah - the one that should have been done in May.:rolleyes:

    Taking LOA from the depot as of 7/9 and will be out for 2-3 weeks.

    :eek: So you're going to be out for almost all of July and you're taking a week off in August? I guess they like you to allow you to take that amount of time off.
    Good luck with the surgery. We'll keep you company while you recover.
    My insurance claims to be favorable to 'preventative' treatments but they won't cover my shots because they're not a guaranteed cure :rolleyes: Is anything in medicine guaranteed? I think not....
    I have five days off :woot: I need a break though...too much stress and crap at work. I'm going camping for a few days to get away.

    I've had trouble with insurance for stuff as simple as eye exams. My wife and I have the same birth date, and apparently that confuses the living $#!* out of insurance companies. They'll either A.) Only process one of the claims if we both file at the same time or B.) Just randomly delete me from the policy altogether without notice.... :mad:

    Yeah... Pretty much, but it's medical LOA not vacation time so it's treated differently.
    As of now I'm fortunate to be in a position of the highest performer out of all my peers for the first half of the year :yay: So I'm not too worried about the time off.
    I'll actually be taking off from August 22 to Sept 3 for the meet... I want to see a few other things while I'm out there.:cool:

    Sucks about the shots... They really helped a friend of mine who had horriblel allergy's... She's got a cat now... :)

    You camp a LOT... Just sayin';)

    But I like to camp...I enjoy the peace and quiet out there.
    You've got to understand that when I was growing up my parents and I camped all summer long...we started as soon as school was out for me and didn't stop until school was started again. We'd go home for grocery and laundry trips but otherwise spend the whole summer out in the hills. So I think that my 8 or 10 weekends a summer now isn't really much at all.

    I'll bet that was a blast!! Only time I ever got to camp was girl scout camp, one or two weekends when I was a kid. Dad did work a lot.... and mom wasn't the camping type.
