Just pulled that from the toyota website for the 2012 runners. I didn't know they had linked suspension. Can they get good travel numbers in the rear by just adding longer coilovers?

 

it's not the aloe i think. i just searched more on this intense type of itch from a burn and it seems that for everyone that gets it, it hits about 48 hours after the initial burn. And if you haven't experienced it your self it is hard to imagine exactly what it feels like. It looks like a popular remedy is pure peppermint oil

Ya basically. Well they aren't coil overs. There is a shock just like your sorta then a totally separate coil that's mounted strait to the axle

Ah, I see. My father-in-law's F-350 is that way on the front end.

Does it have lots of travel? or are the links like the ball joints on the front end and limit travel too soon?

Looks like a very interesting bump stop. haha. My father-in-law has a 99 f-250 and an 08 f-350 and they both have a couple extra leafs above the leaf pack that are the bumps stops. I thought it was interesting.

I could see that being a lot harder to add more travel too than on a vehicle with leafs...

haha. Yeah that is what he uses it for. His F350 bump leafs even have clean spots on them where they have rubbed on the frame stops.

Actually easier and cheaper. Coils are easy to upgrade and then the shocks are like the same

What 4 runner is that?

Toyota says the 2012's have a 4 link suspension which I would assume means no leaf springs

 

Ya they run coils in the back.

Front is the same as your truck

 

No I mean if the links don't have enough travel. haha. Like say you wanted 18" of travel in the rear and the links max at say 15" with no shocks or springs installed.

 

but Ian's pic has leaf springs in it...

 

There we go. I don't know why I didn't just google it in the first place haha. Linked suspension on a newer 4runner.
