Anybody do power seats?

I have an '07 4Runner and in taking rough measurements of the front seat mounting holes it looks like a direct bolt in to the '09 Tacoma.

The 4Runner seat is 8-way power (I don't think I've tried all 8 ways but that's what they call it).

Anyway that seat seems more comfortable. I'm short and I would like to sit a little higher than the stock Tacoma seat.

Has anyone tried to put 4Runner power seats in their Tacoma yet?

What additional wiring would you need, just a hot lead?

Would you need the whole seat or just the motors and track or whatever? I know you would need the switches on the side so probably at least the whole base and trim but would the Tacoma seat and back work on top of the 4Runner base?
How much would a seat out of a totaled 4Runner cost?

I doubt the 4Runner seats are sourced from the same origin as the 2005+ Tacoma seats.

You may as well count on having to buy and install the whole seats.

I'd suggest searching for 4Runner FSM documentation (e.g., at the NCTTORA site) to see how they're wired on 4Runners.

Yes - basically you'd need a fused power line and a good grounding point.

Vaughn, Did you ever put those 4Runner seats in your Tacoma? I have an 05 Tacoma and am looking to do the same thing. Thanks.

OP hasn't posted since February, and has only posted 4 times in the last year.

I'm interested as well (of course my RC would be different), but you might be better off shooting the OP a PM, or email through his profile.

I never got around to trying it.
Sorry for the delayed response, I've been out of town for the fourth.
