At 2.5" you will need UCA's to keep caster within. At 1.75" you will probably be alright. Handling will be a little off with no UCA's at 2.5". Its up to you. I still don't have new UCA's at 2.5". Eventually I'll get some.

Thanks dude. I've been back and forth on this. I think I will go with your exact setup and see how she drives (keeping in mind it may settle). If it rides squirrely I'll get UCAs. I'll try 265/75R16s to fill the gap but that will have to wait...

^The problem for me at 2.5" is I can't get camber better than .7+. That is going to KILL my tires over time. I'm actually planning on lowering the front to 1.75" this weekend until I can get some UCA's (money's tight and I have more time than money). My truck looks great 2.5" but I can't imagine lowering the front .75" is going to make a huge difference but it will at least allow me to get my alignment better.

Finally installed a lift. I went with the same thing as Moondeath. 5100s in all 4 corners. Front set @ 2.5" and Toytec's 1.5" AAL.

I have a slight shudder on takeoff. Sometimes I feel it and other times I don't. I found an excellent thread on drive shaft angles that may fix it:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/153050-just-fixed-driveline-vibration-free.html

The ride is fantastic. Much better than the stock ride!!! I wouldn't say it's firmer, I'd describe it more as nice and solid. The stock ride felt wishy washy compared to what I have now.

I left the stock tires on for now. I don't think they look that bad either. I can probably get another 10-15K miles on them. I might wait until then to go with bigger rubber.

I got 2.5 inches of lift in the front, but the "1.5 inch" AAL gave me more like 2-2.5 inches of lift. I don't mind though, I like the look of it. Evidently it will settle...

    Before measurements:
    FL: 33.9 RL: 35.9 FR: 34.5 RR: 36
    After measurements:
    FL: 36.5 RL: 38.25 FR: 37 RR: 38.5

Thank you to all the guys who helped me. I'm very happy with the look and the ride!

Looks good! Strang how different trucks of the same model act differently. I don't have the shudder but more of the wandering. I do notice sometimes when cresting a steep hill fast I will get a slight vibration as the truck raises at the top of the hill.

Just ordered all pro standard rear leafs with bilstein 5165 remote res rear shocks. What would be the best match for front coil overs to match rear set up?

did you go by that video on youtube the guys voice seems to to be to be automated? I was thinking of doing the same thing, but was kind of skeptical, if that's the video let me know cause I was thinking of going that exact way. Thanks for your help either way.

Yes, that's the video. I've removed many springs from vehicles, and that video is by far the easiest and safest way I've ever done it. Most of those store bought or rented spring compressors are a joke and a danger. Still use caution and common sense, but if you follow his instructions it works great.

Re 5100s on 2013 access cab 4x4 base model
    Came with 4 leaf rears

Can I just add the 5100's in the front only?
    .85 or 1.75 to level?

Alignment needed with either .85 or 1.75?

You can just add the 5100s to level. But you have to measure the difference of the front and rear to see what setting you'll need to level.

    .85 shouldn't need alignment but 1.75 will I think.

Never occurred to measure  but a great tip.

Would you measure top of wheel arch to pavement?

Not sure where the sight line is, other than my tonneau is slanted lower in the front by enough to be obvious the truck sits high in rear.
Guessing I could measure that diff and x2 as it is about half way.

Measure center of wheel hub to fender. Just straight up. Someone just pointed out to me that if you measure from the ground it could come out wrong if the tire pressure is off.
