has anyone added cc to there 2012 r/c w/ a manual tranny. i can't believe toyota did not put this on. not to mention the cheap two speed wipers. i would like to replace that at the same time. when you pay 20k for a truck, it should have all the bells and whistle on it. i read alot of threads on this, but can't find anyone who has done a 2012 w/ manual tranny?

I added cruise to my 2012 reg cab. It wasn't pre-wired. I got the wires from Brandon Distributing, the part number was Rostra 250-1836. I think I had to call and order it, it might not be available online. If you go to the rostra web site there are install instructions there . The only other part that is different from the previous years is the steering wheel cover, the part number for that is 4518604030B0. This should be helpful as well, http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/61...e-control.html

Yes, I have a manual trans. I didn't use the clutch switch. You have to make sure you cancel the cruise or hit the brakes before pushing the clutch in. If you buy the whole kit from rostra it will have the clutch switch and the right plug for it, I think.

I want to remove my cruise control on my 2012 manual. I keep bumping it with my knee (I am tall) and accidentally engaging it. Not good while trying to turn and slow down! Weird stuff happens.

Wipers are a simple bolt-on mod.

Cruise control is most likely the same, but we have not had any confirmations of a successful conversion.

Total for the parts for BOTH modifications is about $250 shipped, plus the cost for the clutch switch for the manuals.

There are a number of threads on both mods.
I did both mods on my '08 RC base in my driveway with nothing more than my Gerber multitool and 15 minutes of time, but I did not need the clutch switch for my automatic.

    Very easy.

Like I said, I did the wipers and cruise in 15 minutes with a multitool.

Biggest pain on the wipers is getting the assembly to release from the column.
Look at the new one and study it and it's clips and it'll release.
You don't need to force it... there's just a "trick" to popping it free.

as rich said, wipers are so easy. i finally was able to get my cc installed. had to make my own clutch switch wiring harness. seeing how the harness is not on the 2012 tacoma, i took the plastic housing that the two pins set in and cut it right off. then found two female connectors that would fight snugly.

Bug guard, killer subwoofer n speakers.
Ain't that the truth!! I have a 2012 I4 5 speed WITH cruise, backup camera, temp gauge, multi speed wipers. I'd rather Toyota put the money in the important components under the hood and below the truck. If you want the "fancy" extra features, happily pony up for 'em.
