I just bought mine a week ago and had the same problem, someone took off the stickers and I was a newbie. I posted here before I bought to make sure I was getting a TRD SPORT 4x4 For that is what I wanted. The forum really helped me out big time Thanks everyone, I love this truck

That may have been your add post, why did you scratch off the ID number of the autotrader number we can go back and maybe look at it? Call autotrader and give them the id they can send you a email of the listing and confirm the wording, guy this is serious, this is a scam I would be one Pi$$ed of Taco driver

Yea and I have an '08 AC TRD Off-Road PreRunner. TRD does not mean 4x4.

Still it sucks, but there's probably little you can do about it. If it is a rep dealer as you say, they may own up and try to work out something (extended warrenty is probably your best bet as they honestly cost them almost nothing). However, unless you have pictures or you can get their security camera footage showing you drive off the lot with TRD badging... it's your word vs theres.

I'd deffinatly confront them (in a calm fashion, firm but not angery) and try your luck, but I wouldn't expect any real gain. Worst case is you got a damn fine truck at a still decent (not great, but decent) price that's barely out of the break in period for it. Just take it for a lesson in the future to do more research on a vehicle, the options, packages, and what you want/price to pay before jumping the gun next time. Good luck with your new truck and stick around

right but just because it says "prerunner" does not make it TRD. nowhere in the ad does it state TRD. I was not uner the impression it was TRD until i went to the lot and saw the stickers.

A prerunner is only a TRD. And so they were selling a truck that wasn't a prerunner but said it was.

Here is the skinny, When you get taken a few things go on. You feel as you got raped and taken advantaged of. The dealer probably will not do a stinkin thing...dirt bags. Your stuck driving a truck that you got raped on the realationship just isn't quite the same whem you brought her home the first time. Everytime you drive her you think of how you got drove too!:bananadance: PS been there done that and can't stand it...SOLD IT:eek:

Toyota all weather floor mats. Mag light that clunks around in the jack compartment. Dog hair. Dog drool on the windows.
You can call and ask a toyota dealer, you can have them possibly check the vin for you.
Tell them you are buying a used one, And are concerned it is not a Trd model.
If the dealer is nice enough, they might check it for you.

could be the Honda dealer took it in on trade/or auction and the previous owner put decals on. but if you are saying in the auto trader it didn't have TRD decals, then you got taken, they got their money. you can bitch about it to them, and maybe out of good faith they might do something for you.
