I've owned/wheeled - 1980 FJ40 open diffs rode like hell - looked awesome, 1987 4runner - excellent off road and stock, 2005 taco O/R, 1985 SR5 4x4 sfa, 1970 Chevy Blazer heavily modded, 1977 Chevy 1/2 ton 4X4 heavily modded, 2004 rubicon stock except full armor, 2008 O/R - By far... the 04 rubicon was the best overall on trails and crawling... also very fun to drive... love tacos for a truck and daily driver with great trail manners... gotta have a heap though... just gotta have one - interesting comments, especially those who consider the taco more capable off road?! LOL oh forgot the 05 Lexus GX470 and the 04 4runner sport... :/

Didn't realize that. But that being said, my feelings wouldn't change much. I wouldn't want to have to hit the AWD switch every time I wanted to do something I would normally do with a rear wheel drive truck.

You don't have to hit a switch for AWD to kick in. There is a switch to lock the rear up.

My wife has an 11 jeep sport. The jeep is great around town but doesn't beat my 12 TX PRO!

I'm thinking of my old Tribute...you either hit a switch to put it in full-time AWD, or waited for the front to slip for the back to kick in...and I'd rather not wait in a case like that.

Ridgeline was pretty cool but ugly and fwd prolly for mpg. I like the new 4 door jeeps but wary of reliability. The green one with a lift would look beast!

Meh..been on the trail quite a few times with jeeps. If you build em right there should be no problems with depedibilty. The Rubicon straight from the show room is more ready for the trails then the Tacoma Off Road model :cookiemonster:

One of my favorite Jeeps that I been on the trail with..

    15mpg...

Honda simply does not have a Truck Chassis, it's a beafed up Accord.

The Ridgeline is for all those suburban yutzes that want a RX300 with a truck bed so they can go tail gating at the local college home game or maybe fit that lawn chair their wife just bought at HomeDepot.

Yup, that AEV truck in base model (without all the V8 with blower, armor, all the other end-of-world hardware) is what I want.

The 2 door conversion from Mopar has been around for almost a year now. If Jeep made mid-size trucks again at the right price, and as well made as the Comanche's, they'd crush the imports.
