Whats a U-Bolt flip kit do?

Just was wondering what the point in doing the ubolt flip kit was?...Never understood the point in it

 

Flips the u-bolts.

 

Underside of the axle is smoother - fewer protrusions to get caught when dragging axle over rocks.

 

Of course, for a 1st gen, you will have to figure out a way to mount the shocks.

Thanks!...makes sense but guess its really only usefull for people who offroad a lot!

 

Of course, for you to even worry about the U-bolts, the rest of the truck should be well armored to drag over rocks first (i.e. full skids front to rear).

I only got mine because I wanted Timbren bumpstops, so I got the whole All-Pro kit.
