    CCFL is Cold Cathode.
That is what is pictured in the listing.

I suspect that the base package includes only the LED strip around the bottom outside and no "halo" around the lamps.

I assume that the downgraded version have LED's in the Halo(2 facing up, 2 facing down to shine around the ring), like mine have. The CCFL would be 1 or 2 Cathode tubes around the rings.

The Cathode Tubes give a solid color like neon where the LED's tend to fade the farther around the ring away from the leds.

    +1

    eBay projectors suck.
eBay projectors with HIDs suck less.

Buy a spare set of stock headlights and a full FX-R projector kit and do a proper retrofit.
You can even do a CCFL halo if you like that (I don't care for it).

You can get this same pair much cheaper, and they are all the same. Yes they leak unless you go around them with some sealant. I had them on my truck until I did my retrofit, they are not bad. I def suggest putting some HIDs in them, the stock light output isnt super.

I have these same headlights and wanted to install some HID's in them but i heard some crap about the HID's possibly messing up the inside of the headlight assembly? Any info or suggestions?

    ^^^^^^^^

HIDs will mess them up if you go with a 55w, but whether you do or not, eBay projectors are terrible. Output from HID will be no better than stock.

And then when the light output and pattern is shit, come back on TW and complain that you spent $250 on headlights that look like shit and then find out that your $75 HID kit is worthless for a real retrofit so you have to start over at square-one.

do you guys know of anyone who's retrofitted any trs HID kit's into dual halo projectors?

I mean actually replacing the projectors also?

I like the look of my 3rd gen dual halo projectors.....and yes they were bought from ebay.....I do like the look better than the stock retrofit, imo

Just curious if it is possible

this is my current set-up....i installed the switchback dtrl's from csjumper2003 and will probably change out my corner lights to led's too

here is a picture of the cut off from this style of light it may change your opinion on them. the other pic is of my fx-r retrofit its the only thing i had to compare them against.

edit: added another picture of my lights closer to a wall about 25 feet if that so basically this is really only one projector lighting up the entire length of my house at 25 feet. my truck is on the grass at the other end of the house btw.

    Check with user Moose1988

It looks like he retrofitted a set of Morimoto H1 projectors into his eBay lights.
Haven't seen a detail thread on how it was done.
