Went to the Freedom Festival in Tacoma today... what crap.
I took the shuttle bus in since the traffic just getting in was tough, which cost $5 for the round trip ticket.
Event itself had a biplane and an F16 doing tricks, which is fun for a few minutes before you get sick of covering your ears against jet engine noise (they do probably a 15 minute show every 30 minutes). There's a car show of about 20 cars, some bmx stunts, RC race cars, and some various bands that were never playing on schedule. I only caught one where a girl was butchering Foo Fighters. Other than that, it's about 2 miles of jacked-up fried food (corn dogs $6).
When I decided to leave to get on the bus, the line was 2 blocks long and would take at least 45 minutes of standing in the sun before getting on a bus. I ended up walking 4 miles back to the truck, took me about 1 hour.

    I have a sunburn.

I made amends with a bottle of Jager raised in salute.

Had a couple beers as a buddies BBQ. Was in bed at 930 and was up at 0345 this morning. Went to bed with fireworks going off in the street

Our neighborhood had a little kids parade and BBQ in the morning. Then a buddy's BBQ/party in the afternoon. Segway nicely into a fireworks show they had at a small lake nearby. The show was totally worthy and within short walking distance. Usually if I go watch fireworks, I'm dealing with tons of traffic and getting home late.

    Well that sounds interesting.

I was surprised to still hear fireworks going off at 2 and 3 in the morning!

Yeah, not dealing with any traffic was nice.

Yo fellow southern washingtonites and oregonians, do any of you know of any good 4x4 shops in vancouver or portland that have good prices and do good work? Mainly looking for someone to just put my nitrochargers and 881's together, but if labor is cheap enough I may just have em put on the whole lift (unlikely). I've done some searches but the only places I can find are woody's 4x4 and body armor performance, both of which seem to have very mixed reviews.

Edit : Also in vancouver last night it was like a god damn warzone. I could see at least 3 different fireworks in the sky at any given second in any given direction.

I'd try getting advice from Landcruiser Northwest to see if they would do it or know who could.

    Schwab will assemble for $40.

Superior offroad in Gresham. Looks like they turn our good stuff, ive seen their trucks rolling around.

Vancouver is always a war zone on the 4th.

I tell you what I will make you a hell of a deal.
My stock suspension + a bag of skittles for your suspension before you sell it.
Nobody will ever notice. They will enjoy it even more actually.

If you need a code to be read ASAP and no one has one AutoZone does it for free if I remember correctly.
