Shoot, looks like its slightly contorted, have you sent them a pic and said anything yet? Or wait, you already painted it right? Oops.

Wonder if they will exchange it for a straighter one, or if there is any way to permanently bend it (I have no idea how to bend fiberglass perm.)

The hood does look really kikass though, I like it....I wonder if you could put a 4x4 block in the middle under your hood between the core support and the hood and lay some 45lb weights on towels on the outside of the hood and let it set in the sun, Thats worth a try anyway.

I dont think that will hold, and it will always have a lot of preload since the hood is trying to "spring" back, it is probably best to try and straighten it out instead IMO, otherwise it will eventually dimple the hood where the pins are from the constant pressure.

Heat and bending should hopefully fix the problem, fiberglass tends to distort over time, thats why its a good idea to reinforce the ares prone to bending with some steel plating fiberglassed into the backside of the weak areas, then it will be way more resistant to bending and or cracking..

Chris. Get a hold of Chilidogrc and see where he got his hood locks. You could run those farther out attached to the radiator support. and it wont look retarded like 4 hood pins sticking up or save you from having to repair the 2 inner holes to move them out.

It came off a fully caged truck so imagine the highest cross tube on my truck is where the cab cage tied into.
