Thinking about getting a dirtbike, few questions

I rode my 250SX from 4000 feet all the way up to 11000 feet, never skipped a beat and never fouled a plug. Mixing fuel is so easy a retarded midget caveman can do it.

 

Probably felt like a 125 though

Friend of mine is a pro trials rider. Said his 300 felt like a 125 when they were in Colorado

 

I believe it, I really want to feel my old 250 at sea level, all of my riding was above 4000'

 

probably because 2t trials bikes have a smaller diameter pipe so the supercharging isn't as pronounced as on a full-size bike.

I just bought a 2009 Ktm 300 XCW. Two stroke. Love it

 

300 is supposedly a real nice bike. I know a handful of guys that prefer that over their 450s.

I would say if your looking on imprpving skill, definitely get a 125. After a few months with that you'll be a pro with a clutch and they're light and light so they're fun to throw around. If you lookin for a 'true' beginner bike, get a pit bike. Otherwise both motors have their ups and downs, but even though ill end up on a 4 stroke eventually, 2 strokes are awesome. Dont think just because you get a 4 stroke the motor will never blow, because it happens more than everyone thinks, plus they can be a bitch to start when they're hot, and that pisses me off. I've had my rm125 for 3 years now and its never been rebiult, just a new clutch recently. Still runs like new.
