Thats a negative. Regardless of 2x4 or 4x4 Sport edition TRDs are the only Tacomas that come with an LSD. The Off-Road TRDs come with an electronic locking differential (rear) whether it is a 2x4 or 4x4.

The E-Locker acts in an identical manner to a open differential when not engaged. When engaged, the rear axle acts as a spooled axle with both axles being locked together.

The pre-'09 second gen non-TRD Sport Tacomas did not, unless it was requested to be installed (you would remember the bill). Further more, you cannot install an LSD if you already have an E-Locker because the E-Locker goes where the LSD would be. The '09+ models have a electronic LSD which works by the brakes being individually applied to transfer power, although, this is not a mechanical LSD like what comes with the pre-'09 TRD Sports.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
SR5 is just a trim package.

Mine is a 2000 TRD SR5 4X4 and has the electronic locker. Love it. Wish it also had a front locker and a lower low range, but then while I'm wishing.....

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.

This SR5 package comes with VSC. The VSC has a LSD as part of the control system. If an SR5 pakage does not come with VSC, it will not have a LSD.
