I just ordered the kit for my 09 DC and will be putting it in this coming Wed. I have two questions:

    1) Did you use all the supplied springs including the additional 'D29XL' AAL that is supplied with the kit? I will be carrying heavy loads at times but not regularly, will the AAL increase lift or just spring rate?

I am installing an ARB bumper with a winch at the same time and this is the stuff included in the kit.

    1 SET OME2886 FR COILS
2 90000 NitroCharger Sport front struts
    2 N182 REAR SHOCKS
    1 FK29 D/S SPACER
    4 90389-A0003 TOYOTA BUSHINGS
    4 OMEU53A UBOLTS
    2 CS047R REAR LEAFS
    AND
    2 D29XL "ADD-A-LEAFS"

    2) Did you experience any vibrations after install? If so what was done (shim degree I assume) to correct the vibrations?

    thanks guys,
    Andrew

The d29xl will increase both lift and spring rate

I had no additional vibrations from installing my lift , I did install the OME CB drop , as well as 3* axle shims

    thanks for the quick reply,

Will the d29xl's put the vehicle back to it's rake look? and how stiff are the springs without the AAL?

The Daks are fairly stiff when unloaded , ride like a dream with weight on them , I don't have the AAL installed yet

The Daks provide approx 2 1/2" - 3 " of lift depending on truck configuration

The d29xl supposedly adds an additional 5/8" lift according to the ARB / OME literature

    Lots of Stuff
I also have all the stuff on your list minus the D29XL's and 885s instead of 886s (886s are 10% stiffer than the 885s). You'll be happy with it. I also have the OME CB drop and 3 degree shims like the OZ. I do think the CS047Rs are not too stiff when empty, but well balanced with the front spring stiffness, if that makes sense..

You might also want to consider replacing the upper control arms too...

Dakars handle weight pretty good. I'd try the pack without the aal first and see how you like it. When I had them I never felt a need for the aal.

    Wanting 285/75/16 Duratracs.

Why the UCA? I was under the assumption that with the winch/bumper combo i will be at under 3"...

Please clarify this for me, I know it is best for me to get them if I want to really wheel it but I have a 'cough' 'cough' jeep willys for that :) Don't hate me though, it has an 85 toy diesel drivetrain.

I will be using the truck to basically pound pavement and for hunting trips where we are more concerned about animals and not wheeling if you know what I mean.
