So I finally got my new wheels and tires installed today. 285/60/18 General Grabber AT2's on black XD Monsters. -12 OS and 4.5 BS. Will they fit? Yep! Do they rub? Yep! I can hardly turn the wheel without the tire chewing away at the truck. At this point, I feel like a big dually pulling a 30' gooseneck I have to swing so wide to turn. Really diggin the look of the wheels and the tires though. I think I made the right choice in both. However, its now time to get a 2" lift so I can actually drive my truck. I think with trimming the pieces its doable, but I am going to lift it first before I cut away at the affected areas. I hate to cut away that much of the body. Here are the results and pics of where its rubbing. Hope this helps in others trying to decide if you want to try it or not!

Yeti,I knew you said not long ago it would only be a couple weeks before you tried this so I've been on the look out. Yeah,I guess you can say I used you as a bit of a guinea pig. :) Anyway, the setup looks great and I like the stance. This is definitely the route I'm going but have decided to go with Eibachs/5100's with front set to .85 and 1.5" Icon 3 leaf progressive pack. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Thanks! And the Wheelers 1.5 is a 3 leaf progressive pack for the rear to raise it about 1.5".

Always good to let someone else try it first before you take it on. :) I think with trimming some plastic and some fender well it would work for a daily driver, but with some off-roading I would bet you would still grind something down at some point.

I'm getting some 5100's and going to try 1.75 first. Hopefully this will be enough and then I plan on getting some 884's and setting the Billies back to 0. After I get the front nailed down I will see what I need for the rear. Hopefully I wont have to go to 2.5 on the Billies, I want to stay away from the possibility of having to get new UCA's.

I trimmed up some plastic today and am virtually rub free. Only time I rub is at full lock on a big bulge of the black wheel well plastic. I still wouldnt dare venturing off-road without a lift. I'll get some pics up of what I trimmed here in a bit.
