    i lined the lip of the cubby with some foam rubber stripping to eliminate some of the rattle, it sounds alright, but im going to have to line the cubby with dyno mat like you said to really clean up the sound.

    Finally got a chance to do something to my truck... bought a used Alpine type-R 10" sub in a ported box with an amp for only $100 off craigslist, and then wired/installed it tonight. So happy to finally have a complete rounded stereo in my truck after selling my 07 with basically this same stereo last summer. Alpine all through the truck now. :)

    Already had this truck at the same time, and I needed to free up cash after moving to nevada last summer so decided to sell the 07 since it was paid off. Kind of regret selling it now since I had so much into it and lost money on the mods(and miss the v6/6spd) but still like my 03. Its a work in progress, it'll still get to where I want and the smaller size makes it better on the trail. :cool:
