Silverstar vs PIAA for reverse lights

I want to swap out my stock reverse lights which are 1156 for something brighter. I've been looking at getting either the Silverstars or the PIAA extreme whites. Which is brighter and how much brighter than stock are they or is something else recommend, other than 50W bulbs?

I've heard that LEDs don't put out much of a flood pattern with the reflector for backups lights.

 

I just got the LEDs for my truck and the pattern seems to shoot farther out than it does down. For backing up your truck using mirrors it works awesome, for backing up using a back up cam, it makes it slightly more difficult to see lower/closer to the bumper. But the LEDs are indeed brighter.

 

Maybe I'll give the LEDs a try. I do use a backup cam, but mainly use the mirrors and only use the backup cam when I can't see anything in the mirrors or if I'm parked next to a vehicle that I can't see past.

I'd strongly suggest going with those in the link you just posted. I have personally used those on my customers vehicles and they work great
Make sure you check quality before purchasing on eBay.

 

When it comes to products of brands that I am not familiar with or when they just say generic, I am always leery about them.
Don't really want to get them from eBay if I can help it.

Yes. We had one up on there for off road lights and one for HID kits

 

I really like the front light bar that you have for the 2nd gens. Wish it was available for mine.
