you're not law abiding if your texting while driving causes a collision. when did endangering innocent people become a right?

should we ban all cars and trucks, ...because, given the physics of collision, they "endanger" innocent people riding motorcycles?

changing the AC/heater/radio/volume is one thing. True it does "distract" you but when you think about it no it does not. Your just mindlessly pressing buttons, your attention is still on driving.

Unlike making a phone call or sending a text or eating something difficult/messy , messing with a tablet or laptop, in other words something that actually requires your attention.

People get mad at others for "rubber necking" (or what ever its called) when they pass an accident because it almost causes or does cause a crash. Well messing with your phone or other technology or eating cereal while driving falls into the same category in my book.

...seems to happen w/ some folks here; when the absurdity of their own argument is turned around and directed back at them, they cut-n-run... :D

to the contrary. when someone displays an inability to think rationally, I don't see a purpose in continuing the conversation.

...did your "re-sub" somewhere in between "unsubbing" twice?... that would be the "rational" process of unsubbing twice... ;)

You are the one who most commonly enages in logical fallacies, in this case reductio ad absurdum. You are the one creating the absurdity in a distortion of his statement and context. As usual.

while that may be arguable, ...the fact is; that which may be arguable cannot be argued if one party cuts-n-runs... excecution requires follow-through...;)

Just to throw my opinion out there, well because I can. I don't agree with alot of laws they put on driving, but I do agree with no texting while driving. I was guilty of it, but I also found myself wondering on the road sometimes.

With that said though, I think someone with experience is perfect capable of making a cell phone call while driving.
