I beieve you need to read my posts in this thread in total. Early on in the thread I admitted that no new laws need to be enacted, and enforcement of current reckless driving laws should cover it.

It's also been discussed by myself and others that common sense would go a long way as well...

However some still fond a need to "rearrange their sock drawer" while driving (I love that line) :D

I recently viewed a TV show where the guy was doing just that and ran off the road into a ditch... (I think it was "Magic City" on Starz)

So, I'm pretty sure it would fall under the reckless driving lable.

larry, ....have you read your thread title lately?... here, ...it reads:

"i really think it should be illegal to do anything in an automobile except drive"...

...that seems "pretty" explicit to me.., so twisting yourself into a pretzel over it may work for entertainment, but not for appeal... ;)

You know how derps were bitching about how they have "implied rights" that cannot be taken away?

Well (correct me if im wrong OP) the title is implying that yes you can do some things, such as mess with the radio, but other things such as texting you should not be able to do.

    Why might you ask?

fiddling with the radio doesnt require much thought, feel around for a few buttons and you've gotten where you want to go.

Sending a text actually requires you to think and take your attention away from the road.

Keep on "twisting your self into a pretzel" :wileyC:

And like I said before don't bitch to us when you get hit by someone on their phone

you must have a strange way of interpreting the words "anything", and "except", ...this is basic logical semantics 101 here... ;)

OP stated his thoughts on the matter, he then said that no new laws need to be made if the current laws were more strictly enforced.
please continue spewing your support for careless driving, it's absolutely enthralling. ;)

i was just pointing out that the OP's statements are a contradiction to the title of the thread...

my statements are backed by absolutes (logical semantics), ...those you've quoted are subjective, ...basically just personal attacks... ;)

I find it curious that you enrobe yourself in "logical semantics" while so often employing classical logical fallacies in your arguments.;););););)

Because our schools no longer seem to teach critical thinking, many people are susceptible to falling for your BS, especially you.;););););)

    :):):):):)

so then show me a(quoted, not paraphased by somebody else) "example" of such fallacies perpetuated... :p

...i've said the OP's thread title is in direct contradiction to his recent claims... so, show me how i'm wrong in saying this?... the book of logic says otherwise, unless the definition of "driving" were to include "some things" that are not directly attributed to human operation of the vehicle - i.e. steering, brakes, throttle...

Do you like guns? Don't want regulations? Don't want taxes? Do you just not want a government at all Wiley? Try Somalia, that country seems to have the same desires as you do. :)
